          Inventory Allocation Data Model

          The Inventory Allocation data model includes objects and fields that help you track inventory and manage allocations across inventory locations.

          Product

          A stock-keeping unit in the product portfolio, representing the commercial item.

          Location

          The inventory location, such as a physical warehouse.

          Product Item

          The specific stock of a product at a particular location.

          Product Fulfillment Location

          The user-defined source location from which the inventory of a product is allocated.

          Inventory Reservation

          Stores allocation information for a specific order (a sales order or work order). It captures additional details such as the reservation date.

          Inventory item Reservation

          Stores the allocation information for a specific product and location. It captures additional details, such as allocated quantity and reservation status.

          Note
          Note InventoryItemReservation records persist even if the originating OrderLineItem or ReturnOrderLineItem is deleted. In these cases, the system sets the ItemReservationSourceId field to null to preserve audit history and maintain backward compatibility.

          Product Item Additional Transaction

          An individual transaction that records a change in the state and quantity of a specific product item. It captures transactions related to quantity state other than on-hand quantity, such as allocated quantity.
