          How Timesheets Management Works

          How Timesheets Management Works

Use the Timesheets Management app to efficiently review and approve technicians’ work hours. Improve the accuracy of your financial processes by using the approved timesheet data to calculate employee pay and client billing. To make informed decisions and strategic plans, supervisors can generate reports from the aggregated timesheet data. Crew leaders can submit their own hours and those of their crew members, and monitor their submitted timesheet status, all within the web browser.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: All editions of Field Service Plus for Energy & Utilities, and all editions of Asset Service Lifecycle Management

          Access to the Timesheets Module

Feature access in the Timesheets module varies by user roles and permissions. Organizations use permission sets to control user access and actions.

Field technicians can access timesheet functions on the Salesforce Field Service (SFS) Mobile App to log hours and manage records on the go. Field technicians can view the timesheet summary and review their timesheets and timesheet entries. If the two-step submission process is enabled, they can verify their timesheets before submission and also verify if the automatically assigned details are accurate.

Supervisors can review and approve timesheets for their team. Crew leaders can submit timesheets for themselves and view timesheets for their crew.

          Timesheet Status Definitions

Timesheet statuses track the progress of a timesheet through its lifecycle, from initial creation to final approval or rejection. Each status indicates where the timesheet is in the review process and what actions are required next.
