            Work Order Estimation

            Before starting any field service work, assess the costs and effort required to provide reliable quotes and plan efficiently. You can estimate field service work for different sources, such as repair or extension work for assets, installation tasks for quote items or order items within existing sales quotes and orders, and network and infrastructure expansions for specific work type groups.

            Note If you are using earlier versions of Work Order Estimation, switch to the Spring '25 version to take advantage of the new features. The previous versions will be discontinued by Spring '26.

            Work Order Estimation includes these key features:

            • The quote creation flow supports both basic roll-up pricing and complex rule-based pricing using Salesforce Pricing.
            • Quote items are based on Salesforce Field Service work type and required products.
            • Supports multiple work sources.
            • Coverage-based discounts and manual discount applications are available.
            • Allows proposal generation and approval.
            • Workorders are automatically generated from the quote.
            • Book service appointments for generated work orders.
            • Edit existing work orders.
