Regular Performance Testing

Regular Performance Testing

Create and run performance tests regularly to check for issues that could affect your org’s performance, availability, and overall health.

With growth comes complexity, and the more complex your Salesforce solution gets, the more likely it’s prone to inefficiencies. Create and run performance tests regularly to check for major issues that could impact your org’s performance, availability, and overall health.

Identify Critical Availability Use Cases and Metrics

Before testing, identify metrics to measure, such as user experience metrics like Experienced Page Time and Average Page Time on certain pages, and server metrics that account for the performance of server-side processes. Create a test plan with scenarios to measure identified performance metrics, and then alert Salesforce before testing to ensure the most accurate results.

Measure and Establish Performance Benchmarks

Run performance tests in a sandbox regularly to establish baseline metrics and check for major issues that could impact your production org’s health and availability. Sandbox performance metrics can differ from your production environment. However, after the sandbox’s baseline metrics are established, you can still identify potential performance issues by testing your changes and comparing the results to the baseline stats.
