Work with List Views in Lightning Experience

View, edit, and create records from a list. List views are a great way to sort, prioritize, and analyze the records that are most important to you.

          • Navigate List Views
In a list view, you see only the data that you have access to. You can see records that you own, have read or write access to, or are shared with you. List views also include records owned by or shared with users in roles below you in the hierarchy. The fields you see depend on your page layout and field-level security settings.
          • Sort List Views
A list view is a filtered list of one object’s records, but even after filtering, there are sometimes so many records in the list that it’s a challenge to find what you need. To understand and navigate your records more easily, apply sorting to your list views. You can sort any list view by 1 field column, and in Lightning Experience, you can sort a list view by up to 5 columns. Sorting is alphanumeric.
          • Search List Views in Lightning Experience
Use the list view search box to search for records in a list view. Click the search box or use the keyboard shortcut g+f, and then enter your query. The list view search looks at all searchable fields even if the corresponding columns aren’t shown in the list view.
          • Pin List Views in Lightning Experience
Change an object’s default list view with a pinned list. An object’s pinned list loads as its default list view. The default pinned list for all objects is the Recently Viewed list.
          • Print List Views
Print standard and custom list views.
          • Default List View Filters
See the default list views and filters for commonly used objects.
          • Improve List View Performance
Develop a list view maintenance strategy and speed up your list views by optimizing their filters.
