Personalize Your Org with Themes and Branding
A theme is a collection of visual styles that defines the look and feel of a user interface, and it sets the tone for your users’ Salesforce experience. You can choose one of the built-in Salesforce themes, or create your own custom theme that reflects your brand with just a few clicks.
Lightning Experience themes are built on the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS), which your developers can use to customize your org even further. SLDS 2 is the latest design system for Lightning Platform products, but you can still use a custom or built-in SLDS 1 theme. The built-in SLDS 2 theme, Salesforce Cosmos, and any custom SLDS 2 themes that you create have an SLDS 2 label next to the theme name. When you activate an SLDS 2 theme, you enable SLDS 2 for your org. To learn more about SLDS 2, see Salesforce Cosmos Theme and SLDS 2 Availability.
- Activate a Theme
To customize your users’ visual experience, activate a theme that reflects your brand. Activate a custom theme that celebrates your brand identity, or use a built-in theme with preset color palettes and images. Either way, a theme elevates your Salesforce org and enhances the user experience. - Create a Custom Theme
To define your brand’s unique identity within Salesforce, create a custom theme. As an admin, you can specify your custom theme’s color palette, and upload your company logo and your own background images. Use a custom theme to rally your team around important initiatives, like a campaign or new product launch. Or you can make sure that your team’s work fits seamlessly into the rest of your company's environment. - Manage Custom Configurations for Themes
Customize your org’s theme with clicks, not code. To personalize your users’ Salesforce experience, add your company’s logo, define your brand colors, and more. Most customizations are available only for custom themes. Some customizations are available only if you built your theme on a specific version of the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS). - Considerations for Themes and Branding
Keep these considerations in mind when working with themes and branding.
