Create a Permission Set and Grant API Enabled Access (Optional)

You can create a permission set to grant users the API Enabled Access user permission if they don’t already have it enabled.

          Required Editions

Setup for Mobile Publisher available in: production only (not sandbox)
Available in Lightning Experience in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions
          User Permissions Needed
To create and modify a Mobile Publisher project: Manage mySalesforce Apps
To create and modify a site: Create and Set Up Experiences

A permission set lets you grant API Enabled access to user profiles so they can receive push notifications when using your branded app.

If you’ve already created a permission set, you can skip to step 3.

          1. From Setup, enter Permission Sets in the Quick Find box, then select Permission Sets and click New.
          2. Create a name for the permission set, and select your org’s user license then click Save.
          3. Go to the System section and select System Permissions, then click Edit.
          4. Select API Enabled and click Save.
          5. Select the permission set and click Manage Assignments and then Add Assignments.
          6. Select the check boxes next the names of the users you want assigned to the permission set, and click Assign.

If users are already logged into the app, they must relogin to receive push notifications. You can force your users to relogin by revoking their tokens to the app.
