          Create a Loyalty Program Member

          Create a Loyalty Program Member

          You can create members who are enrolled in a loyalty program.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience in EnterprisePerformance, Developer, and Unlimited Editions that have Loyalty Management enabled.
          1. In the Loyalty Programs tab, select your loyalty program.
          2. On the Setup, select Loyalty Program Members, and click New.
          3. Select a type for the member.
            • If your member belongs to a business, select Corporate.
            • If your member doesn’t belong to a business, select Individual.
          4. Select a Contact record or an Account record.
            • For an Individual type member, select a contact or a person account in the Contact field.
            • For a Corporate member, select a business acount in the Account field.
          5. If your member is corporate and associated with an account, select Account.
          6. Enter the membership number.
            Tip
            Tip To automatically generate membership numbers based on the format that your company uses, configure a custom logic.
          7. Select a loyalty program member who referred the member to the program.
          8. Select a date for enrollment.
          9. Select the enrollment channel. 
          10. Select the loyalty program member associated with the corporate.
          11. Select the member status.
            Note
            Note The member status has two values: active and inactive. The default member status is active. The active and inactive values can’t be edited or deleted. However, you can add new values to the member status field.
            Note
            Note Last Activity Date and Statement Last Generated Date can be updated in the Edit mode. The dates are updated based on the member transactions.
          12. Save your changes.

          After a Loyalty Program Member record is created, a set of related records are automatically created for the member. A Loyalty Member Currency record is created for each active loyalty program currency. The Loyalty Member Currency records enable the loyalty program to track and manage the member's points balance. A Loyalty Member Tier record is created for each active tier group in the loyalty program. The Loyalty Member Tier records assign the member to the lowest tiers of the active tier groups.

          To add a member to a group, go to the member's Loyalty Member record and then click Add Member on the Associated Groups related list.

          Note
          Note Group Members is another related list that's added to the member's Loyalty Member record by default. This related list is for Group type Loyalty Program Member records. To remove the Group Members related list for Individual or Corporate type members, see Update the Layout of Loyalty Program Member Record Page.
