Salesforce Cosmos Theme and SLDS 2 Availability Salesforce Cosmos is the first theme available in Salesforce Lightning Design System 2 (SLDS 2). Salesforce Cosmos was released as beta in Winter ’25 with the temporary name Enhanced Lightning User Interface (UI). It's a new design that makes Salesforce simpler to use with circular patterns, easy-to-understand icons, new colors, and better typography. Salesforce Cosmos is the default theme of Salesforce Lightning Design System 2.
