To edit fields on records: Edit on the object for the kind of record you’re editing

Not all fields on records in a list view can be edited inline. To find out whether a field supports inline editing, hover over it and look for the pencil Pencil icon. Non-editable cells have a lock Lock icon. Inline editing doesn’t work for list views that contain multiple record types. To make inline edits for objects with multiple record types, first filter by a single record type.

As always, you can edit only the records that you have access to.

To edit fields in one row of a list view:

          1. From the list, hover over the cell to edit, and then click Pencil icon.
          2. Make your change in the editable cell or cells.
A Save button appears at the bottom of the list view.
          3. Click Save.

If other people make inline edits to the same fields on a record simultaneously, only the most recent edit is saved.
