          Settings for Loyalty Processes

          Settings for Loyalty Processes

You can set Loyalty Management to update non-qualifying points balance of members in real time. Turn on another setting to add template Data Processing Engine definitions to your org and use them to aggregate and expire members' fixed-expiration-model, non-qualifying points. Customer service representatives can engage your loyalty program members better with Loyalty Service Excellence.

          Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience in EnterprisePerformance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions that have Loyalty Management enabled.
          • Enable Real-Time Update of Non-Qualifying Points Balance
To update non-qualifying points balance of members in real time, turn on real-time balance update setting in your Salesforce org.
          • Enable Real-Time Update of Qualifying Points Balance
To update the qualifying points balance of members in real time, turn on the real-time balance update setting in your Salesforce org.
          • Consolidation of Fixed-Type, Non-Qualifying Points for Expiration
Automate the consolidation and expiry of fixed-type, non-qualifying points of members. You can consolidate members' points in the Loyalty Aggregated Point Expiration Ledger object in real time or in batches. By aggregating non-qualifying points in the Loyalty Aggregated Point Expiration Ledger object, you can decouple the points expiration process from the Loyalty Ledger records.
          • Enable Automatic Calculation of Points Expiration Date for Canceled Redemptions
Enable a setting that automatically calculates the expiration date of fixed-type non-qualifying points that are credited back to members for canceled redemptions.
          • Data Cloud for Loyalty Management
Gather insights about your company's loyalty program and its members with Data Cloud. A prepacked data bundle enables admins to set up the connection that sends data from Loyalty Management to Data Cloud. To create targeted member segments, users must be assigned the Data Cloud Activation Specialist permission set.
          • Enable Automatic Generation of Voucher Codes
Automate the process of generating unique codes for vouchers that are issued to members.
          • Get Access to Loyalty Service Excellence
To access the service console, enable the Service Excellence for Loyalty Program Member setting for your org.
          • Allow Members to Join and Leave Loyalty Program and Promotions from Experience Cloud Site
Give contacts, accounts, and person accounts in your company the permission to join or leave your loyalty program from the loyalty program’s Experience Cloud site. You can also give loyalty program members the permission to join or opt out of promotions from the Experience Cloud site.
          • Select Members for Tier Upgrade Automatically
You can select members automatically for tier upgrade when their qualifying point balance changes. The setting helps you avoid setting up a custom process to find the members eligible for tier upgrade assessment. In your tier upgrade process, you can assess and upgrade the tier of members who have been automatically selected for tier upgrade assessment.
          • Enable Negative Point Balance for Non-Qualifying Currencies
Enable currencies to accommodate negative points balance for members. Turn on the negative point balance setting in Salesforce. When you enable negative point balance, members can redeem points beyond their existing points balance.
          • Enable Processes and Rules to Inherit Status in Target Orgs
Deploy loyalty program processes and their rules in the same status as defined in the LoyaltyProgramSetup metadata type. This means that if a process and its rules are active in the source org, they are in active status in the target org. Transferring processes and rules between orgs in their original status reduces post-deployment effort.
          • Enable Clubs
Enable a setting to design and manage clubs for customers with similar interests and affinities. Create clubs that engage club members with personalized benefits and promotions.
          • Automatically Transfer Points to a Member Group
Automate the process of transferring points from members to their associated membership groups in real-time when points are credited to them. The automation calculates and transfers points to each group based on the member’s contribution percentage for each group. This automation ensures that there is no duplication in the transfer of points.
          • Track Member Progress in Engagement Trails
You can reduce your data storage requirements by using the Promotion Party Usage object to track members' progress towards achieving milestones for Engagement Trail promotions. The Promotion Party Usage object uses fewer records to store attributes compared to engagement attributes. When you enable this setting, the attributes for Engagement Trail promotions are automatically stored in Promotion Party Usage records JSON format. You can use the Member Engagement Trail API to retrieve the record details.
