With Product Catalog Management, product designers can create nuanced product categorizations. Marketing managers can design bundled promotions and include granular product attribute-based promotions. - Role-Based Permissions for Global Promotions Management
Admins provide access to features based on the user's role in the company. For Global Promotions Management, admins have to provide themselves, marketing managers, and system integrators the permissions that they require to work with promotions. Depending on the user’s role, determine which permission sets are assigned to users. - Context Definition for Global Promotions Management
Pricing promotion designs differ vastly based on the industry and individual company’s requirements. Global Promotions Management uses the capabilities of Context Service to enable marketing managers to design pricing promotions tailored to each company's unique requirements. A standard context definition is used to design pricing promotions for most use cases. Admins can also create custom context definitions for a company’s promotions. System integrators can easily integrate the Eligible Promotions API and Promotion Evaluation and Execution API with external systems such as shopping sites, point-of-sales systems (POS), and global distribution systems (GDS) based on the structure of context definitions used by promotions. - Promotion Evaluation and Execution
Turn on Promotion Evaluation and Execution in your org to empower marketing managers to automate the process of prioritizing, combining, and applying promotions to customer carts. Define a pricing procedure and use the Promotion Evaluation and Execution API to determine and show the updated cart and line item prices in real-time. - Create the Global Promotions Management Analytics App
Global Promotions Management comes with a CRM Analytics app template. The Global Promotions Management app template consists of a set of dashboard and components that help marketing managers and business executives track the performance of promotions. The admin can use a guided setup to create a CRM Analytics app by using the Global Promotions Management app template. - Add an Organization-Wide Email Address
Promotion launch emails are sent to the promotion’s eligible audience from an organization-wide email address. The admin works with the marketing manager to decide the name and address of the email that’s used to send the emails. Then, the admin has to add the email as an organization-wide email address. - Turn on Translations for Promotions
Set up translation to show promotions to in-store employees, sales representatives, and customers in their preferred language. Add translation support for languages that your business runs promotions in, and assign translators permissions required to translate promotions. - Configure Data Cloud for Global Promotions Management
Gain insights about your company's promotions and your customers with Data Cloud. A prepacked data bundle enables admins to set up the connection that sends data from Global Promotions Management to Data Cloud. To create targeted customer segments for promotions, users must be assigned the Data Cloud Activation Specialist permission set. - Marketing Cloud Engagement Business Unit Connection
Marketing managers can design launch emails for pricing promotions. After a pricing promotion is activated, the promotion’s launch email is sent to the promotion’s eligible audience by using a journey in Marketing Cloud Engagement. To send promotion launch emails by using journeys, connect Global Promotions Management with Engagement business units. Complete the required setup tasks in your Engagement business units and Global Promotions Management to set up the connection. - Automated Global Promotions Management Data Sync in Marketing Cloud Engagement
Global Promotions Management relies on the Marketing Cloud Connect managed package to send data from the Global Promotions Management org to a Marketing Cloud Engagement instance. The marketing journeys that are created in the connected Engagement org for activated promotions use the Global Promotions Management data to send out promotion launch emails. The admin must install and set up Marketing Cloud Connect in the Global Promotions Management org and in the connected Engagement instance. After setting up Marketing Cloud Connect, the admin must create Synchronized Data Sources for Global Promotions Management objects in the Engagement instance.
