Promotion Integration with Marketing Cloud Personalization
Use Marketing Cloud Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio) to provide targeted promotions to members in real time. Configure your Salesforce org and Marketing Cloud org to ensure that your promotion-related data is available in Marketing Cloud Personalization. This configuration requires you to create segments by using Data Cloud.
To synchronize your promotion data in Marketing Cloud Personalization, complete these steps:
- Add Custom Fields in the Promotion Object
The Promotion Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) jobs in Marketing Cloud Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio) require three fields that aren't available in the Promotion object. Before you send your Promotion object data to Marketing Cloud Personalization, add the required fields in the Promotion object. - Prerequisites for Sending Promotion Data to Marketing Cloud Personalization
Before the admins of Salesforce org and Marketing Cloud org send Promotion data to Marketing Cloud Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio), they must complete a few prerequisites. - Prepare Marketing Cloud Personalization to Receive Promotion Data
After you send your Promotion, Promotion Market Segment, and other Loyalty Management data to Marketing Cloud, prepare Marketing Cloud Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio) to receive the data from Marketing Cloud. - Send Promotion Data from Marketing Cloud to Marketing Cloud Personalization
After you prepare Marketing Cloud Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio) to receive Promotion, Promotion Market Segment, and other related object data, you must send the data to Marketing Cloud Personalization. Prepare a data extension that's compatible with Marketing Cloud Personalization's Promotion ETL, and then send it by using Automation Studio in Journey Builder.
