Vouchers
Vouchers are offered to customers and loyalty program members as rewards for engaging with the brand and as compensation for service recovery actions. Your company and its loyalty programs can offer different types of vouchers based on your business requirements. You can also choose from a range of different options for how vouchers are issued to customers and members.
- Voucher Design and Strategies in Loyalty Management
Learn about the different types of vouchers, the ways in which you can design vouchers, and how vouchers are issued. - Add Your Company’s Voucher Definitions
Voucher definitions are templates that are used to issue vouchers. You set up a voucher definition one time and then use the voucher definition to issue vouchers on demand or by configuring flows and loyalty program rules. Based on your requirements, createas many voucher definitions as needed and use each of them for different purposes. - Automatic Generation of Voucher Codes
You can configure a voucher definition to ensure that codes of the vouchers issued by using the voucher definition are automatically generated. The codes that are automatically generated contain a prefix and a suffix that you specify. The codes also consist of alphanumeric characters that make the voucher code unique and you can specify the length of the alphanumeric characters in the voucher definition. - Issue Vouchers as a Reward
There are various ways in which you can issue vouchers as a reward to customers and members of your loyalty program. For example, vouchers are issued to customers and loyalty program members for completing a purchase or an experiential activity. Either loyalty program managers or admins can set up automated processes that check for a customer's or a loyalty program member's eligibility for a voucher and issue it to them. Vouchers can also be issued to contacts, accounts, and loyalty program members as a promotion reward. - Offer Vouchers as a Service Recovery Action
Vouchers are a great way to gratify customers who have had a negative experience while engaging with your company or the loyalty program. When interacting with members or while working on a member's case, service reps can issue vouchers to members. In case members don’t receive their eligible vouchers, service reps, and loyalty program managers can issue the vouchers to the impacted members. - Ways to View Issued Vouchers
Customer and loyalty program members often reach out to customer support to learn about the vouchers that are available to them. Program managers also want to understand how issued vouchers are being used and are performing. - Ways to Reserve and Redeem Vouchers
On most commerce and shopping sites, members redeem vouchers either when adding products to the cart or when checking out a cart during payment. Often, customers abandon their carts or their orders aren't successfully placed. In these scenarios, you can lock the vouchers that customers want to redeem until customers have successfully placed their order. In retail scenarios, vouchers can be reserved until orders are fulfilled or until the order return period is over. - Ways to Cancel Vouchers
There are scenarios where issued vouchers must be canceled. For example, vouchers that are issued after members place an order must be revoked if members cancel or return their order. In other scenarios, duplicate vouchers or incorrectly issued vouchers must be canceled. - Automated Management of Vouchers Issued for Transactions
Loyalty program members are issued vouchers when they complete a purchase or nonpurchase activities. For purchase-related activities, there are scenarios where members aren't eligible to redeem an already issued voucher. For example, members aren't eligible to use a voucher that was issued for an order that is canceled. Loyalty Management automatically takes care of changing the status of vouchers status based on the status of their related transaction journals. - Automated Voucher Expiration
The status of unredeemed or partially redeemed vouchers changes to Expired after the vouchers pass the expiration date. Loyalty Management automatically changes the status of up to 2 million vouchers to Expired hourly. - Provide Members Access to Vouchers on Your Company's Site
With Experience Cloud sharing sets, admins can provide contacts and loyalty program members access to view their vouchers on the company or the loyalty program's site. - Developer Resources for Vouchers
Developers can manage and integrate vouchers with external systems such as point of sales (POS) and order management systems. Learn about the API resources that are available to developers to manage vouchers across their lifecycle.
