You are here:
Create a DataPack or a MultiPack (Managed Package)
For the managed package runtime, to deploy data between orgs, you can create and export DataPacks, which are files with a selected object’s data in JSON format. A single DataPack contains one main object and its dependent objects. A MultiPack is a DataPack that contains multiple main objects and their dependent objects.
This information is for Omnistudio for Managed Packages. For Omnistudio on standard runtime, see Omnistudio Help.
-
To export from its designer, open the object.
To select multiple objects, go to a page that lists the objects to export, such as Omniscripts in the Omnistudio app, then select the objects to export.
- For objects with versions, such as Omniscripts, expand the names to display the versions, then select the versions to export.
- Click Export.
- In the Export DataPack dialog box, click Next.
- In the Review dialog box, click Next.
- To avoid overwriting an existing DataPack, specify a unique name and version.
-
To add the DataPack to the Published subtab of the Omnistudio DataPacks tab and
make it available to connected orgs, select Add to
Library.
When you publish a DataPack, selecting Download is optional.
- To download the DataPack JSON to your local machine, select Download.
-
Click Done.
If you selected Download, the DataPack is created and downloaded to your download directory.
