          Use Dropdown Lists in Spreadsheet Cells

          Create a dropdown list for a cell or series of cells to let users choose from a group of defined values when entering data.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Quip desktop app, Quip iOS mobile app, and Quip on web
          1. Select the cell or cells where you want to add a dropdown list.
          2. From the Data menu, select Data Validation. Or, right-click to open the cell menu, and select Data Validation.
          3. From the Type dropdown, choose Select from List.
          4. Define the criteria for the dropdown.
          5. Click Apply.

          A dropdown arrow appears in each cell. If users enter a value in the cell that doesn’t match a value in the dropdown list, an error appears. To remove a dropdown list from a cell, from the Data menu, select Data Validation, and then click Remove Validation.
