Schedule, Run, and Monitor Data Sync

Schedule, Run, and Monitor Data Sync

With Salesforce Data Pipelines, you can schedule sync to run automatically, manually run a sync, and monitor a sync's progress, all in the data manager.

          Note
Note Datasets created for data from outside Salesforce are deleted automatically after no less than 30 days. If any other features depend on these datasets, schedule the connections to update at least every 30 days.
          • Run Data Sync Manually
Run data sync manually the first time to make the data available in Salesforce Data Pipelines to build recipes. Schedule subsequent syncs to regularly update the data.
          • Schedule Data Sync to Run Automatically
To ensure that the latest source data is loaded into datasets, schedule data syncs to pull data into Salesforce Data Pipelines before the corresponding recipes. You schedule data sync for each connection, where all objects under the connection sync at the specified time, and not individual objects. To sync objects from the same data source on different intervals, create multiple connections to the data source, and set a unique schedule for each connection.
          • Monitor a Data Sync Job
Monitor the progress of Salesforce Data Pipelines data syncs in Data Manager.
          • Set Data Sync Notifications
Set Data Sync notifications to receive an email notification when a Salesforce Data Pipelines sync job has warnings, when sync fails, or every time the sync finishes.
          • Why are my data sync and recipe runs getting canceled?
Tightly scheduled recipe or data sync jobs can result in canceled data sync and recipe runs because too many runs are queued. You can usually avoid this situation by extending the time between a recipe’s or data sync’s scheduled runs.
