Set Up Promotions with Data Cloud

To identify and create the right promotions for the right customers, associate promotions with Data Cloud segments.

• Add Segments
  You can add the segments targeted for a particular promotion.
• Send Loyalty Promotion Segments to Marketing Cloud Engagement
  Use Marketing Cloud Connect or custom import or export jobs to send Loyalty Promotion Segment and Loyalty Promotion data to Marketing Cloud Engagement and send campaigns to the members.
• Apply Promotions Based on Members' Segments
  When processing a transaction journal, you can apply promotions based on the associated loyalty program member's segment. If you’re using a loyalty program process to process transaction journals, the rule that’s associated with the promotion automatically filters transactions that don’t belong to members who are part of the promotion’s segment. If you’re using a flow to process transactions, an action to determine which promotions are applicable for a member based on their segment. Or, you can use an API to find the member's segment and the promotions associated with the segment.
