          Create and Manage Rebate Programs

          Create a rebate program to reward your partners when they attain specific sales targets. Enroll program members and create payout periods. Set up rebate types within a rebate program. Add benefits, additional benefit criteria, and eligibility rules for rebate types. Track transactions and aggregated payout data for members.

          • Create a Rebate Program
            Create a rebate program to offer incentives to your partners when they meet agreed-upon targets. Specify the details of the program such as its duration, payout period frequency, and program description.
          • Create Rebate Types for a Program
            Define rebate types to specify the incentive structure within a rebate program. A rebate program can include multiple rebate types, each representing a different strategy, such as volume, revenue, or growth. To configure a rebate type, create a Program Rebate Type record. Define the calculation logic, eligibility, benefit thresholds, and product associations to determine how rebates are calculated and paid out.
          • Enroll Members to a Rebate Program
            Add partners, dealers, and distributors as members to a rebate program. Add Account records to a program to enroll members. Add one account at a time, or use an existing Accounts list view to enroll multiple members. You can enroll an account in multiple rebate programs. View the enrolled members on the Members related list of a rebate program record.
          • Create Payout Periods for a Rebate Program
            You can manually create payout periods or automatically generate them for each rebate program. If you choose to automatically generate payout periods, they’re generated based on the program's frequency. Payouts are calculated during an active period and finalized at the end of each period. View the payout periods on the Payout Periods related list of a rebate program record.
          • Define Eligibility for a Rebate Type
            Filter transaction journal records applicable for a rebate type by defining eligibility rules. Based on the eligibility criteria, a member’s transaction records are considered or discarded for payout calculations.
          • Define Product Eligibility for Rebate Types
            To define when a rebate applies to a product or a list of products, define a filter on the program rebate type.
          • Add Benefits and Benefit Mappings for a Rebate Type
            Create benefits for a rebate type to define the thresholds of an incentive and how payouts are scaled for varying quantities and amounts. Add benefit tiers with a range of sales targets and applicable benefit values. Introduce granularity to the incentive structure by adding benefit-mapping criteria. With additional criteria, you can differentiate benefits by account territory, product category, ship-from location, and more.
          • Manage Accruals and Payouts
            With Rebate Management, you can calculate accruals and payouts for rebate types. Program managers can view the accrual and payout information for each member and each payout period. Understand how accruals are calculated in Rebate Management. Analyze a use case that showcases how accrual calculations can help you manage finances in a better manner.
          • Activate a Rebate Program
            Activate a rebate program to start the calculation of payouts for the enrolled members. To activate a rebate program, ensure the associated rebate types, members, and benefits are active.
          • Clone a Rebate Program and Rebate Types
            Use the Clone and Clone with Related actions on Rebate Program and Program Rebate Type records to copy a record along with their related records.
