Edit Your Language and Locale Settings
Update language and locale settings in your personal settings.
Required Editions

- From your personal settings, enter Time Zone in the Quick Find box, then select Language and Time Zone. No results? Enter Personal Information in the Quick Find box, then select Personal Information.

Specify these settings as needed.
- For Time Zone, select your primary time zone.
- For Locale, select your country or geographic region.
- For Language, select your primary language. All text and online help appears in the language you select.
- For Email Encoding, select the character set and encoding option for email that you send from Salesforce.
Any user in a new org created after the Winter '21 release has Unicode as the default. Existing org users still have the prior default settings, but they can update to UTF-8.
Note If you get an error message regarding insufficient privileges when trying to access your personal settings, or saying that a field can't be updated when you try to change a setting, ask your Salesforce admin to enable the Improved Setup User Interface option. If you’re an admin, from Setup, enter User Interface in the Quick Find box, then select User Interface. Select Improved Setup User Interface, and click Save. - Click Save.
