Enable Automatic Generation of Voucher Codes

Enable Automatic Generation of Voucher Codes

Automate the process of generating unique codes for vouchers that are issued to members.

          Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience in EnterprisePerformance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Loyalty Management
          User Permissions Needed
To enable automatic generation of voucher codes:
          • System Administrator
          • Loyalty Management

An automatically generated voucher code consists of a prefix, a suffix, and alphanumeric characters in between the prefix and the suffix. After the admin turns on the setting to generate voucher codes, loyalty program managers can specify the prefix, the suffix, and the length of the alphanumeric characters in Voucher Definition records. The codes of issued vouchers consist of the prefix, the suffix, and alphanumeric characters that make the specified length in between the prefix and the suffix.

The code that you specify when issuing a voucher overwrites the voucher code that’s automatically generated.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Loyalty Management, and then select Loyalty Management Settings.
          2. Turn on Generate Codes for Vouchers.

If you decide to turn off the setting to automatically generate voucher codes, ensure that you update the processes that issue vouchers to manually generate voucher codes. For example, if you have a loyalty program process rule that issues vouchers, update the Issue Voucher action to generate unique voucher codes by using a formula.
