Track Consumption for Generative AI Prompts for Flex Credits

Track Consumption for Generative AI Prompts for Flex Credits

For enterprises running Agentforce, tracking consumption by agent, action and usage type might not be enough. But how do you know which Generative AI (GenAI) prompt for Flex Credits is generating the highest consumption? You build a Data 360 report that breaks down consumption by GenAI prompt.

We’ll show you two ways you can get started to quickly build a report.

          • Create a report based on an existing report. Create a new report based on the Consumption by Sources report with some minor modifications. This report uses the TenantEnrichedUsageEvent DLO.
          • Create a report from scratch that uses the Consumption Insights DMO.

Using either of these two methods, you don’t incur costs to build or run the report.

          • Create a Report for Generative AI Prompts Usage Based on an Existing Report
To quickly create a report on Generative AI (GenAI) Prompt consumption (Flex Credits only), use the existing Consumption by Sources report as a starting place. You can then save the report to a new name.
          • Build a Report for Generative AI Prompts Usage
Build a Data 360 report for Generative AI (GenAI) prompts for Flex Credits from scratch that uses the Calculated Insights data model object (DMO). Using this DMO to build a report from scratch allows you to create a completely custom report structure.
          • Match Prompt ID to Prompt Name to Interpret Report Data
After you build a report for tracking Generative AI (GenAI) consumption by prompt, the reports lists the prompts using the prompt ID or API name. The API name usually mirrors the actual prompt name; however, the internal prompt ID isn’t descriptive enough to identify which prompt. But we’ll show you how to map the prompt ID with the prompt name.
